Info on Environmental Engineering

I'm really hoping to get some more information about environmental engineering from my readers. Tonight, I'm going to read up on the topic after I get home from work. I am considering taking night courses toward a Master's degree in environmental engineering, but first I need to develop a project that I would work on for my thesis. I am thinking about studying how microbial diversity is affected or affects the chemistry of polluted or treated water sources. If anyone has any information about such a project, please send it my way!
