Play 5-Card Stud Online

Poker lovers for many years have enjoyed the poker game 5-card studs. Today, poker players can have more fun player poker, since the new arrival of the online casinos. Although 5-Card Stud has been around for many years, players are often confused on how to play the game. In this article, I am going to walk poker lovers through the steps to play 5-Card Studs online. Get your self a cold beer, sit down at your computer, relax, and fire up those engines. 5-Card Stud rules are different than most poker games, in that not many people play the games anymore, and when they do, they often play it in the comfort of their home altering the rules as they play. 5-Card Studs has the same betting rules that 7-Card Stud has, and this includes Betting Limits, Ante, Deal, and Buy-in Bankroll.

Personally, I enjoyed playing 5-Card Stud, since I understood the game, better than some of the other poker games. During the opening game of 5-Card Stud, the dealer will hand the players two cards each. The card facing up is known as the Open card, while the card facing down is known as the pocket card. Once the players have the cards on the table, the players are encouraged to wager, betting on the face card showing. The table places the bet, starting with the lowest hand showing, and this is known as the Third Street betting round. Sometimes the player with a high card showing will start the wager.

The Third Street round means that the dealer hands each player another card, which is face up. Once the third card is handed to the players, the are opt to raise the bet, fold, or call. After the bets are placed it moves onto the Fourth Street bids, where each player is handed another open card. The Fifth Street card is sometimes an open card, while other times dealers will give the players a pocket card. The game winner determines on the player holding the highest ranks. For example, if player A has four Aces, Player 2 has two Kings, Player 3 has three Jacks, and Player 4 has a Straight Royal Flush, then Player 4 is the winner of the game.

Since, the players are able to see the face cards on the table, 5-Card Stud is considered less challenging. The players can look at each players card, and determine if they want to hold em’, fold em’ or raise the bids. If a player has three Aces showing and another player has an Ace of Hearts, King of Hearts, and Queen of Hearts facing up on the table, the player with the 3 Aces might be wise to call the fourth players bluff, providing the player has not reached the limit of cards to be dealt.

Sure, the player with the Ace, King and Queen of Hearts is presenting a potential Straight Royal Flush, but in my experience, the Straight Royal Flush is one of the hardest hands to hit. On the other hand, if the player has an Ace of Hearts showing, King of Hearts, Queen of Hearts, and a Ten of Hearts, it would be wise for the player with the three Aces to freeze, or else hold his bid. If the player holding the potential Straight Royal Flush raises the bid, it is wise for the other players to fold their cards, rather than loosing more money.

In any poker game, the Straight Royal Flush is the highest possible rank in the game. If you want to learn more about online poker, go online and check out the many interesting casinos. Most casinos have more current games to play online; however, few casinos still offer players the ability to play 5-Card Stud. Finally, playing poker online can be more fun than playing cards at home in a sense. When you are playing poker online, you cannot see your opponent.
